Carlo Medina, MD

Carlo Medina, MD, is a highly trained, board-certified internal medicine physician with a focus in hospital medicine. His addition to the team of hospitalists at Platinum Medical Group is a welcomed one.

In 1999, Dr. Medina finished medical school at New York University’s School of Medicine. Soon after, he completed his internal medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

Now, in his professional career, patients appreciate Dr. Medina’s calm, reassuring demeanor that puts them at ease. In addition to working with patients in a hospital setting, Dr. Medina is deeply involved in the world of medical academia. He has been invited to lecture at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and serves as an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the University of Southern California’s (USC) Keck School of Medicine.

Dr. Medina also lends his medical expertise in his community. Since 2015, he has volunteered regularly with the Venice Family Clinic in Los Angeles, offering a wide range of services to those in need.

Dr. Medina has maintained longstanding memberships with highly regarded professional medical societies, including the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

In his limited free time, Dr. Medina enjoys spending as much quality time as possible with his wife and their children.
