The Co-founder, President and Chief Strategy Officer, Vinay Aggarwal, MD, MPH, helped build Platinum Medical Group into one of the most respected medical services companies in the Greater Los Angeles Area. He guides the team with an entrepreneurial spirit and leans on his own experience as a seasoned hospitalist to drive his organization’s key mission: providing patients with world-class clinical care.

Dr. Aggarwall is a board-certified internal medicine physician who graduated with a Master’s in Public Health in the Health Policy and Management division from Yale University in 1999. He then went on to complete medical school at Drexel University’s College of Medicine in 2006 before completing his Internal Medicine Residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Throughout his career, Dr. Aggarwal has been dedicated to innovation in the world of internal medicine private practice. In 2011, he launched Lucirix, a successful health startup, in 2011. As Co-Founder and Executive Vice Chairman, he secured message and clinical care coordination, ultimately raising venture funding and establishing three hospital pilot sites.

With Platinum Medical Group, Dr. Aggarwal has devoted himself to group expansion, growing the private, independent practice into a group of elite hospitalists. Under his leadership, PMG’s hospitalists are now mainstays and trusted providers at Los Angeles’ most renowned hospitals.

Dr. Aggarwal has also co-authored several articles for publication. They’ve spanned public health management topics, including strategies for global corporations to deliver health benefits to their employees worldwide and different types of benefit plans available to employers.

His past experience as a researcher includes time spent with a Yale University sponsored research team uncovering the intangible cost of stroke to victims and their spouses in the United States. He presented study findings at a 1996 conference held by the American Public Health Association Conference. In addition, Dr. Aggarwal also spent time in the 2000s serving as a research assistant at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania analyzing clinical data on over 500 endograft patients and submitting research to major vascular surgery Journals.

A proud father of four, Dr. Aggarwal enjoys spending quality time with his family and playing golf and squash during his spare time. He’s also a passionate traveler and loves beach time in tropical climates as much as hitting the slopes on skiing trips.
