Ronak Kavian, MD, MPH
Dr. Kavian graduated from St. George's University School of medicine. She then completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at Montefiore New Rochelle hospital in New York.
Prior to her medical training, Dr. Kavian received her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Master’s degree in public health from California State University, Northridge. Her extensive education provided the basis for the dedicated care she now provides to her patients.
Before joining Platinum medical group at Cedars-Sinai medical Center, Dr. Kavian served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Harlem Hospital Center at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physician and Surgeons. She also served as the Medicine clerkship Director for two years.
Dr. Kavian serves as a diplomate for both the American Board of internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity medicine.
Dr. Kavian encourages her patients to lead an active lifestyle, always emphasizing the benefits of physical activity, intermittent fasting and Mediterranean diet.
Dr. Kavian recently relocated to Los Angeles with her fiancée who she met during her internship at Montefiore. Active and energetic, she enjoys boot camp style gym classes, weight lifting, interior design, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
Dr. Kavian is fluent in English and Farsi.
